Travel is one of the most important things to us and when talking about where to get married, the Loire Valley in France was the only place that felt special enough to both of us. In November of 2021, we were able to take our first trip abroad together as the pandemic eased, and we chose France. We spent the first few days in magical Paris and then wanted to venture to one of the many wine regions from there. Erik did some searching and decided the Loire Valley was the perfect area for us - it was not too far from Paris, has great red and white wines, and has some of France's best food. Julia found a stunning chateau for them to stay at (Domaine de la Tortinere) and we absolutely fell in love with the area.

We chose Chateau de Jalesnes specifically because it could not only fit all of our closest friends and family, but also felt the most comfortable. It was stunning and elegant, yet cozy and relaxed. We loved the areas to lounge in and are so excited to spend time with you in the salon, on the terrace, or by the heated pool! The icing on the cake for us was meeting the chateau pup - Bella - who channeled Hamilton through and through and since we had just let him go, knowing she would be around for the wedding celebration helped us feel like a part of him would be there too. It felt like home.
